Eight of us went to a pub
run organised by The following Sunday (6th
August) some MSL members went the Hairy West Sussex Custom and Classic Show
only to find out that the prospective venue was closed and that –although it
was advertised for the 5th and the 6th- the party had
actually been the previous day. I understand that our lads and ladies were
most upset, especially as they couldn’t even get drink because the Pub was
closed following the previous late night party… Luckily the trip to the
‘Pub With No Name’ was slightly better organised with everybody meeting at
Rykas and setting off for the ‘White Horse’ in Froxfield to meet I believe last Tuesday’s
‘Mystery Tour’ was also a great evening. Not only was the ride to ‘The
Anchor’ at Pyrford Lock very enjoyable but also the buffet laid on for us was
quite impressive. (Although I heard one person complaining that one of the
pub’s waitresses dared to eat some of our sandwiches.) |

Following the low MSL turn-out for the
Bexley Rally the Committee would like to ask everybody for their support for
these types of runs. How can we expect other branches to support us with our
BBQ, Bike Show and Charity activities, if we don’t make the effort to join
them for their activities? Meeting points &
times will normally be on the notice board the Tuesday before and the
Committee members will also try to be of you assistance wherever they can. |
