First
things first: The committee wishes all members a merry Christmas
and a happy New Year. And
now on to the ‘day-to-day’ matters: Despite
attendance being a lot less than last year the run to Deen
City Farm went well with a total sum of £370 donated to the farm. Most of us
enjoyed some cakes and coffee or even a cup of mulled wine before retiring to
the ‘Princess of Wales’. Well, most of us apart from ‘Father Christmas’ who
decided to pour his mulled wine down Linda’s leathers. Of course some
gentlemen immediately offered to help her mopping the wine up but luckily
Linda managed to fight them off and squeeze another cup of mulled wine out of
‘Father Christmas’. I
noticed some members developing an interesting new skin colour last Tuesday.
The colour is called ‘envy-green’ (rather than ‘racing green’) and evolved
when Dave K. told us the little story of how his ‘Bonny’ became the star of a
photo-shoot. I understand that the Triumph is featuring a series of photos in
the February issue of lifestyle magazine ‘Wallpaper’, although I still don’t
quite get the idea why anyone would arrange a group of sparingly dressed
young ladies around the bike. After all, they hamper the view of the bike,
don’t they? Anyway,
for full details of his adventures in the world of models and photo shoots
ask Dave personally and see Wallpaper’s February issue. |

I
understand that the first anniversary of Bob’s 50th birthday last
Saturday was very well attended and a smashing do indeed. Well
done Bob and a big ‘Thank you!’ to you from everybody. We
are looking forward to next year’s do, too.
