Newsletter of the Mighty South London Triumph Owners Motorcycle Club

Welcome everybody to this year’s first Tuesday Club Run. I don’t know about the rest of you but I have certainly been looking forward to going on a run for quite some time. And with the brewery tour coming up on Saturday, we won’t even miss out on our “Princess of Wales” (or shall we call it “Camilla” ;-) ) this week.

Just a quick question with regards to tonight’s destination: Does anybody know why “The Bell” in Walton-on-the-Hill is usually referred to as “The Rat”? Is there a deeper meaning to this or is it just to confuse foreigners?

Charlie, the BMW + BSA (and maybe Triumph soon?) man who organised the Last Chance Animal Rescue Run earlier this month asked me to publish a Thank You note on his behalf. He was very pleased with the turnout (around 35 bikes + 40 people) and happily collected £405 + a wheelbarrow of animal food for the sanctuary. Please, see message board for the full note.

I understand that several of us enjoyed a good afternoon at Jack Lilley’s Classic Day last Sunday and some even splashed out on some fancy new gear. Well guys, come on and do the catwalk for us…
