Hi Folks. I
admit is has been a while since the last TT and a lot of things have happened
in the meantime. Bob held a brilliant Quiz Night and at last I got a chance
to play as well. Saying that though, my team would have probably had a better
chance without me ;-). Of course Doddie's mob did well – again –. Should we
really allow them to play in that group again? It is ruining the odds ;-). I think everyone
will agree that Easter was a good weekend this year with a decent Good Friday
run followed by Hot Cross Buns at Grahams and a lovely ride to Shepherd Hill
on Sunday. Although I
missed the Last Chance run this year (well actually I have never made it due
to reasons varying from bike breaking down to trip to Germany) I understand
that it was a fabulous ride and everyone enjoyed themselves… apart from one
overly eager rider maybe who managed to overtake the Runs Leader and
consequently got lost. My correspondent
from the Fleet Lions Run advised me that there was a bit of a hiccup with the
meeting times (was it Last but not
least a message from Bernard: "Again many thanks to all the guys for the
support that was given to me at the start of the Pioneer Run. It is always so
nice to see all those friendly faces at Epsom. It takes my mind off the
white-knuckle ride in store, as you will have seen by the expression on my
face on the front cover of the Nacelle. What a surprise I had when I opened
my copy. Thanks to Peter W and all concerned. Bernard." |

Thank you for
coming for those of you who made it to my birthday party. Luckily Charlie
Doolittle managed to survive the evening without becoming a main course on
one of the horse's menu this time. For those of you
who got stuck in the traffic jams building up in the various tunnels around
the Isle of Dogs I am truly sorry. All that effort and than you didn't even
get a chance to indulge in Andy's magic. It's not fair, is it? |
